Rising from the San Francisco Bay Area, Falling to Pieces exploded onto the Northern California metal scene in 2004. After releasing their debut recording "The EP to Kill By" in 2005, and full length "Left to Rust" in 2007, FTP shot to the forefront of the Bay Area music landscape. "Left to Rust" brought the band much acclaim and helped widen their fan base, both domestically and overseas. After some member shifts and changes, the band would solidify its line-up in 2008 with the additions of female vocalist Nicci D. and guitarist Scott Danough (co-founder and long-time member of Bleeding Through). The band’s 2009 release "Awaken the Weak", combines Nicci's wicked screams and beautiful clean singing (both of which can compete with any of today’s leading ladies or male metal vocalists). In the fall of 2010, during pre-production of their 3rd album tragedy struck as their lead vocalist Nicci D. was taken from them in a horrible motorcycle accident. Devastated, the band decided to finish the album in Nicci's honor by using the pieces of scratch vocals they had of Nicci and recorded an entire album around them. After a 2 year hiatus, the band finally found a lead vocalist that not only they were happy with, but someone Nicci herself really liked and admired. in May of 21013, FTP was pleased to welcome lead vocalist Ryan Reynoso to the fold (Formerly of Left of Christ). Pushing forward, FTP will continue to grow and evolve their unique brand of metal. Falling to Pieces appeals to metal fans of any genre, as well as maintaining the ability to capture non-metal fans alike. Having hundreds of high energy live performances under their belts and a steadily expanding fan base, this band continues to grow and relentlessly fights to bring their brand of brutal to the masses. With their crowd influencing stage presence and pummeling live show, refined music ability on stage and in the studio, DIY mentality and road-readiness, Falling to Pieces never disappoints.

In October of 2010, Falling to Pieces began pre-production on our 3rd album. Working hard and tracking rough song ideas and vocals, we were shaping up some of our best songs to date. On November 6, 2010 our singer Nicina "Nicci D." Acevedo was taken from us in a tragic motorcycle accident. We decided to honor Nicci by going forward and finishing the album, taking her scratch vocals from pre-production and lined them up with new recordings. We poured our hearts and souls into this album and backed up by some of Nicci's favorite local and national artists, we can only hope that this album puts a smile on her face and allows her memory and legacy to echo on into eternity.
